Former Black Stars Psychologist and current lecturer at the University of Cape Coast, Dr Patrick Ofori has condemned the idea of bringing back Kelvin-Prince Boateng into the Senior National Soccer team (Black Stars).
The Las Palmas striker formed an integral part of Ghana’s team at the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa and Brazil 2014 respectively,
Boateng is currently serving a suspension from the Black Stars after allegedly putting up gross insubordition towards former Coach James Kwasi Appiah during the team’s campaign in Brazil .
The former AC Milan midfielder recently revealed his readiness to represent his native country in a third World Cup.
Dr Patrick Ofori insists bringing back the “firebrand” midfielder could create troubles in the team.
In an interview with Cape Coast-based ATL FM, the ex- Asante Kotoko Board Member reiterated that The Black Stars needs discipline and committed players to chalk laurels.
“I don’t understand the reason why Ghana should invite Kelvin Prince Boating because he is too indiscipline and disrespectful which I think Ghana must not compromise such behavior,” he noted.
“Kelvin must Understand that Ghana is superior to him and for that matter, he cannot take the nation for granted so I see no relevance in inviting him back to the Black Stars’’.
Ghana takes on Egypt in the second World Cup qualifier on November 13 in Alexandria.

A PHD holder in Psychology? Can't believe him saying this! Our current political leaders are stealing our monies and even disrespect us but yet we tolerate them!
What did Ghana ever do for KP Boateng? Ask what his Ghanaian father ever did for him! He grew up like an orphan on the streets. He was disrespected because of his skin color. But he worked hard. Went to a soccer academy at the age 7. And from age 7, he played and got food to eat by playing soccer. Germany accepted him and trained him to become a soccer star. And after a minor disagreement, Ghana went for the established and successful star. We used him and because he asked for the rational behind some of the choices of Kwasi Appiah and the FA, we should not invite him again. That is unfortunate. Any Ghanaian born overseas must look at this critically and choose not to play for Ghana in future. In Ghana, elders are right ALL the time. Any attempt to question them means you are a bad person. Meanwhile, the same elders are responsible for our problems. Yes, if you will not invite him, so be it. Boateng will never lose anything. But Ghanaian football stands to be destroyed. For just one thing - allowing injustice to reign. Allowing blind corruption to reign. Allowing unqualified players to start games and sidelining players trained for the job. Posterity will judge us all. And if care is not taking, the team might not win any representation in any major tournament. And at that point, we will all realize our mistakes.
I think we have to understand the background of KP Boateng. He was born in the west(Germany),where leaders are required to give reasons for the orders that they issue, verses in Africa where it is do as I say. We should therefore listen to his side of the story and see who was wrong.
What is the definition of 'indiscipline'? The guy will NOT pay bribes to play for Ghana and he would NOT also agree to fly economy class to play a match when GFA officials fly first class. Are these what you call indiscipline? Is he playing in a club? Has he managers? CORRUPT GHANA FA OFFICIALS HATE TRUTH!
What is this Dr talking about? He should listen to what Augustine Ahinful said that we should give Kevin the chance to explain himself. That is called wisdom and not you jumping to conclusion Dr Ofori. What did he do wrong?
What did he do to merit all you adjectives? As a Dr or a Phd. holder I expect to see logic and reasoning in your arguments. You said nothing but just concluded. Chew and pour Dr. No wonder Ghana is now a failed country. You have people like this patrick Ofori guy priding himself as a Dr but can't even argue as one let alone to behave or do something useful for the society. Your president is keeping people who embezzled millions of dollars belonging to Ghana in Brazil at the Flagstaff House and you think that is right but Boateng standing up for his right that is not not? an apology of a Dr.
What exactly did he do that makes him indiscipline. Just because he questioned some of the so called top people or stood up for his right. get real so called Dr
the senior National team is not for the officials is belongs to Ghanaians
